The Kelso Pottery
The Kelso Pottery was set up in 1970 by Ian and Elizabeth Hird. They make a range of domestic stoneware including mugs, jugs, bowls, plates, vases, baking dishes and piggy-banks. Ian has also developed a range of Pit-Fired decorative peices using local coloured clays.
Designs from prehistoric times are mixed with stylised deer, hares, curlews and crows to give the “feel” of the Border landscape.
