Chris Stout & Catriona McKay \nThis award winning duo have taken these most traditional of Scottish instruments – fiddle and harp – and catapulted them into the contemporary world of music making. \nA 30 year long telepathy sees this remarkable duo weave their way seamlessly between glorious soundscapes and music of breathtaking simplicity. \nRooted in tradition yet unconfined by its limits\, their brand of contemporary folk music has seen them grace the world’s stages with orchestras such as the BBC Concert Orchestra\, The Trondheim Symphony and the Russian Philharmonic. \nThe intense and rugged coastal scenery and the dramatic seas that surround their respective origins. Fair Isle\, the most remote of the Shetland Islands and Dundee are ever-present in this unique and treasured duo sound. \nVirtuosic and cinematic\, Chris and Catriona’s music charts a rhythmic and harmonic terrain that is all their own. The result is a dynamic and intrepidly adventurous sound that transcends genre yet remains immovably tethered to place. \nWorkshop takes place between 1pm and 2.30pm with concert starting at 3pm
