Hardiesmill
Description
Hardiesmill Place is a 480 acre sustainable farm, six miles north of Kelso on the Hume-Mellerstain road. It’s home to the Hardiesmill herd of pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle and, from this, to Hardiesmill Ethical Scotch Beef. Everything is slow-grown on grass, and spends all its life on the farm, giving it both a unique flavour and a world standing alongside some of the best beef in the world: the top Kobe (wagu) beef in Japan and El Capricho in Spain.
We have a small pop-up farm shop/butchery that’s open Thursdays & Fridays 10.00-18.00hrs and Saturdays 09.30-1500hrs; selling our beef, plus a range of other quality ingredients, most of which are local.
For those visiting the area &/or looking for a place for a family gathering, further along the farm road sits Coo’s View. Coo’s View is a six-bed, dog-friendly, modern holiday cottage on the farm with: large living room, good size garden, well equipped kitchen, great views, sauna and table tennis/darts room. Please email Alison to check dates and rates. It’s available for bookings throughout the year.
