Create is a new gallery and gift shop based in Woodmarket, just off Kelso’s historic town square. If you love supporting local businesses, Create is an ideal choice as it is owned and operated by a group of local artists and makers. We are all based in the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland and what draws us together is the desire to create unique and beautiful products.

Whether you are looking for that statement piece of art for your walls or that keepsake to take back to remind you of your trip to the area Create has something for everyone.

Our artists and makers produce an amazing array of beautiful pieces from original paintings, limited edition and open edition prints, ceramics, pottery, unique silver and gold jewellery, fused glass decorations and artworks, handmade luxury soaps, kitchen linens, and felted wool rugs, cushions and scarves made from locally reared rare breed sheep.

And we also have an excellent selection of artists greeting cards and gift wraps to suit every occasion.

When you visit Create you will meet one of the team whose work is on display, and you can find out more about their work, processes, and inspiration.

Alongside the founding members in 2026 Create will feature a changing display of work from guest artists and makers.
