Kelso Racecourse

Kelso Racecourse stages fifteen days of jump racing each year with a traditional Winter season which commences in September and concludes in with Ladies Day at the end of May. The most valuable fixture is Morebattle Hurdle Day, which takes place annually on the first Saturday in March.

The racecourse is a not-for-profit company whose purpose is to promote horseracing in the north of Britain and to benefit the local community. The racecourse is proud of its friendly reputation and offers a warm Borders welcome to all visitors.

The historic grandstand, the oldest sporting building in Scotland, was erected in 1822 and is still used today. Hospitality packages are available for all meetings, offering racegoers the opportunity to enjoy delicious locally sourced food while watching the races. Admission tickets can also be purchased without hospitality. While tickets are usually available on the day of racing, at the main entrance, the earlier admission tickets are booked in advance, the cheaper they are.

The annual Family Raceday is held on the first Sunday in October. Children aged 17 and under are admitted free of charge to all fixtures as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
